Verstappen shuts down F1 admin in classic Max Verstappen fashion
Formula 1 returns this weekend after the summer break. Max Verstappen is eagerly anticipating his home race in Zandvoort, but he also admitted that he greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet during the summer. Still, it seems the Dutchman couldn’t entirely escape from Formula 1 even on vacation.
The official Formula 1 Instagram account asked several drivers a simple question: “What was the best part of your summer vacation?”
Max Verstappen, as usual, shared his answer in his characteristically frank style. The Dutchman's answer was exactly as you would expect. “To not be disturbed,” he sent to the admin of the Formula 1 account.
The Red Bull driver was then replied: “And we've ruined it, whoops.” Verstappen reacted to this with a laughing emoji.
Highlights of the F1 driver's summer vacation
Other drivers were also asked the same question over the summer. Nico Hulkenberg, for example, said that returning to work in Formula 1 was his highlight. For rookies Kimi Andrea Antonelli, Oliver Bearman, and Gabriel Bortoleto, the best part of the summer was spending time with their families.
Lando Norris responded as dryly as Verstappen to the question from the Formula 1 admin. He wrote: “You not messaging me.”
Esteban Ocon also answered this in a similar manner: “Not having to deal with you guys,” was the Frenchman's verdict. Check out the other reactions below:
