Next year, Max Verstappen may be getting a new teammate, but the big question of course is: who? Yuki Tsunoda seems to be out of the running, as GPblog report recently. Will Red Bull continue to have faith in its own young drivers' program? Tim Coronel reacts.

According to an analysis by GPBlog it may well be that Red Bull chooses a surprising strategy: the 'new Max Verstappen', Arvid Lindblad, for the seat next to Verstappen.

The Formula 2 driver shines in the junior series and the question seems no longer if, but where he will land in Formula 1 in 2026.

Red Bull could just opt to let him go straight to the top team, even though that didn’t happen with Verstappen himself.

Yet it is certainly possible, even though there are many alternatives. GPBlog spoke with Tim Coronel to take a good look at the options for the Austrian racing team - and for the Racing Bulls.

"Maybe it's just Tsunoda," was Coronel's first response, after which it seemed highly likely that it would be an exit for the Japanese. "Then he no longer has anywhere to turn to."

The step up to Red Bull? Or a different choice?

Coronel praises Red Bull and the Racing Bulls for having a strong line-up for the coming years, putting the team in a favorable position.

Still, he does not expect them to push Lindblad straight ahead, due to the underlying risks. "Hadjar or Lawson... I think Hadjar stands the best chance," Coronel says.

The best option according to Coronel? "Lindblad alongside Lawson at Racing Bulls, that seems a good line-up for me," says the Dutchman.
