Canadian GP claims another victim: Hometown hero Stroll crashes in FP2

The necessary risks to find more and more lap time at a track like Gilles Villenueve involving getting as close to the walls as possible.

However, Canadian driver Lance Stroll got too close. Coming out of Turn 8, intending to maximise his exit performance, Stroll understeered and touched the wall.

However, despite the contact being somewhat mild, the repercusions were extreme, as the front left suspension on his car was destroyed.

Charles Leclerc also found the wall at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, after he overshot Turn 3. It was confirmed that the Monegasque would race during FP2.
