The first 15 minutes of the session had barely elapsed when Charles Leclerc smashed his Ferrari into the wall at turn 3.

The current leader of the session has already fallen out of contention after crashing into the outside wall at Turn 3.
He was carrying too much speed and overshot the corner. Instead of going straight into the run-off, the Monegasque tried to make the corner, which sent him onto the grass and then into the wall destroying his left front and rear supensions and left his stricken SF-25 in the middle of the exit of Turn 4.
Right after the accident Leclerc took the onboard radio to apologise to the team and explain the accident. "Sorry. I'm in the wall. Yeah, my bad, I should've gone straight. I thought 'I will just make it,' but I clipped the wall."
