Formula 1 is back on the race track this weekend after a week's hiatus, with the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix set to take place at the iconic Imola circuit.
The race will be the first in Europe in the 2025 campaign, marking the start of another tripleheader, with the Monaco and Spanish Grands Prix upcoming.
McLaren will look to continue their superb form to start to season as they search for a sixth win in seven races, with Oscar Piastri hoping for a fifth win of the season, while Red Bull will be hoping to close the gap to the British team as they bring potentially season-defining updates to Italy.

High winds could bring havoc on Friday in Imola

The action gets underway on Friday with the first two free practice sessions, with the most troublesome weather expected to hit then.
In the afternoon, there will be northeasterly gusts of wind around 30-40 kph sweeping across the circuit, with there also being a 40 per cent chance of rain on the first day of the race weekend, although there is an expectation that the rain will stop early on Friday morning.
During FP1, the temperature will be around 19 degrees Celsius, dropping by a degree in FP2, with a mixture of cloudy and sunny conditions expected for the rest of the day.
On Saturday, there will be some improvement to the conditions, with the winds dropping by 15 to 20 kph to register just a 5 to 15 kph southwesterly breeze, with a less than 20% chance of rain hitting the Imola circuit.
The temperature will also increase for the second day of the race weekend, with 20 degrees Celsius the expected temperature for both FP3 and qualifying, with a potential maximum high of 21 degrees.
