Sergio Perez is set to make an early return to Formula 1 by becoming Cadillac's ambassador for the upcoming Mexican Grand Prix. Also, Zak Brown hits back at a "ludicrous" Oscar Piastri claim, and Mika Hakkinen has his say on the title fight.

Perez to make F1 comeback in Mexico City

Sergio Perez will be back on the grid for the 2026 season after a year out, joining the new Cadillac team.

However, before he gets back behind the wheel, he will become the ambassador at the Mexico City Grand Prix for the American team.

The Mexican, who is working hard alongside Valtteri Bottas for General Motors as they prepare for 2026, will do interviews, attend media sessions and sign autographs in front of the adoring Mexican fans.

Brown lambasts 'ludicrous' Piastri claim

The courtroom battle between McLaren and IndyCar driver Alex Palou is heating up, with CEO Zak Brown "amused" at a claim made about Oscar Piastri.

The four-time IndyCar champion has made his testimony in London as the case enters his final week, and there were some claims from the Spaniard that got Brown talking.

"I'm not sure which allegation amused me more -- the notion that I would not be the one making a key decision about our driver line-up, or the suggestion that I wasn’t on board with signing the hugely talented Oscar Piastri," stated the American to Reuters.

Hakkinen has his say on the title battle

Mika Hakkinen has become the latest person to have their say on the current title battle between Piastri and Lando Norris, with just 22 points separating the two teammates before the United States Grand Prix.

With only six races remaining, the two-time world champion believes that experience will become a deciding factor in such a close battle.

“They're both very good, Lando has much more experience - which counts for a lot. But, he also scores fewer points. So I don't know, one of the two," explained the Finn.
