During the media day at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen confirmed he will remain with Red Bull Racing for the 2026 season.
However, the team has certainly not forgotten about the Dutchman. Over the coming months, focus will remain on the four-time world champion, as Andrew Shovlin indicated.
"We've got George looking in a pretty close battle with Max for P3 in the Drivers' Championship," the team's Trackside Engineering Director said in Mercedes' Race Debrief.
Currently, Verstappen is in third place, 15 points ahead of the Mercedes driver.
