Rosberg names Verstappen in his all-time top five drivers

Former F1 world champion Nico Rosberg says Max Verstappen has secured his place among the top five drivers all-time.

Speaking on the Sky Sports F1 Show podcast, Rosberg placed the Dutchman alongside Lewis Hamilton, Ayrton Senna, Juan Manuel Fangio, and Michael Schumacher.

"His car [Max Verstappen's] wasn't the best car this weekend. I'm pretty sure of that.

"What I learned about Max Verstappen is that he's also now becoming, or has been, so smart that he actually does such fundamental set-up decisions," he said.

The German also weighed in on McLaren's decision to ask Oscar Piastri to hand Lando Norris back the position, after a slow pit stop dropped the Briton behind his teammate and title rival at Monza.

Vasseur believes Hamilton's arrival could help Leclerc improve

For the first time since Sebastian Vettel left Ferrari, Charles Leclerc once again has a world champion as his teammate.

Team principal Frederic Vasseur said this is the Monegasque driver's best version yet in F1.

"I think this (Hamilton's arrival, ed.) helped also a little bit to release some pressure from Charles," he began on the Beyond the Grid podcast.

"He did a very good job from the beginning of the season. I think Charles also improved in terms of approach, structure, he's more mature.

"I don't know if it's a part of the contribution of Lewis, but it's coming from the maturity of Charles."

Pirelli's two-day tyre test concludes at Monza

With a revised schedule due to poor weather conditions, day two of the Pirelli tyre test was also completed today.

Today, Isack Hadjar and Carlos Sainz were in action for Racing Bulls and Williams respectively.

As the track was still wet in the afternoon, Pirelli also gathered data on the crossover point between the intermediate and slick tyres.
