Williams showcase FW48 livery after missing Barcelona testing

The Williams F1 team today lifted the lid on its 2026 car livery. The Grove-based outfit, which made headlines after announcing it would miss the entirety of pre-season testing in Barcelona, revealed the shiny new look their 2026 car will take on.

The colour scheme of the new car features a mix of the team’s traditional blue with a lighter shade of blue, accompanied by white that trails along the end of the sidepods.

The British outfit, led by team principal James Vowles, expressed its excitement over the launch and now has its sights set on recovering the testing time lost after missing the maiden shakedown of the 2026 regulations at the Circuit de Barcelona.

Adrian Newey reveals aggressive approach to AMR26 car

While the Williams team continues its long road towards hitting the track for its maiden testing in Bahrain, one team that did participate, albeit late in the shakedown held in Barcelona, was Aston Martin.

Technical partner and team principal Adrian Newey has now described the approach employed in designing the 2026 AMR26 challenger.

The 67-year-old, who joined the team in March 2025, detailed how his approach to the car can be well described as aggressive.

Newey also explained how he and the Aston Martin mechanics pushed the limits of what the regulations allow. However, the British engineer concluded by tempering expectations for his maiden car designed since his move to the Silverstone-based outfit.
