Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna has addressed the challenging season the Maranello team is facing in Formula 1 this year.
“The season has not gone the way we expected”- Benedetto Vigna
In light of a season that has so far left Ferrari without a single win, Vigna admitted that“there are other teams where everything seems to run more smoothly than it does for us.”
“We need to make sure that all the ingredients necessary to win are functioning properly. The podium in Mexico makes us happy, but we must keep our feet on the ground.
Although Charles Leclerc has claimed Ferrari’s seventh podium of the season, Vigna still admitted that “the season has not gone the way we expected,” especially considering that last year Ferrari battled McLaren for the Constructors’ Championship all the way to the final race.
“We will continue to work in a united and cohesive way because there are still four races to go, and we must give our best to see how things end.”

With a season that has seen it largely absent from the title fight almost behind them, Ferrari—like its rivals—has long shifted focus to next year, when new technical regulations come into play and mistakes will no longer be an option.
One of the main issues that has hampered this year’s SF-25 is its rear suspension. In many cases, it has stopped engineers from running the floor at the optimal ride height, forcing them to compromise on downforce—and therefore overall performance—to avoid further penalties like the one in China.
Things are expected to change in 2026, according to recent rumors from Italy. Here’s a first look at Project 678, the car that Leclerc and Hamilton are set to take to the pre-season tests in Bahrain and Barcelona.
