Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton experienced a dramatic Miami Grand Prix. The Ferrari drivers finished in seventh and eighth place, with Hamilton over a minute behind the winner, Oscar Piastri. Numerous disagreements were also heard over the team's radio. The Italian team's strategic choices were scrutinised on Sky Sports' The F1 Show. Lewis Hamilton expressed his dissatisfaction with the strategy during the race. Starting from the twelfth position, the seven-time world champion worked his way up and, after the pit stops, ended directly behind his teammate. The Brit struggled to overtake Leclerc and decided to ask his team for a team order. This led to an amusing exchange with his engineer, Ricardo Adami.
Dramatic Strategic Choices for Ferrari
“On the face of it, it looked like a no-brainer," Martin Brundle began about the incident. "Lewis caught them like a rocket ship, didn't he, on those tyres."
However, the real difference in speed was distorted, according to the former F1 driver: “What was confusing matter is that as soon as one Ferrari got in the other's DRS, it looked like the faster Ferrari. Hindsight's a wonderful thing, but when Lewis got in front, he didn't pull away."
"In fact, then Charles started catching him back up. The radio calls, they seemed to sort of hesitate too much."

Hamilton previously indicated he still has fire in him and did not want to apologise for what he shouted at his team. “Some of the things Lewis has said on the radio are quite sarcastic, as he said. You can't unsay those." Brundle said. Ultimately, the Brit concluded that Hamilton is not in good shape: “I think it's quite telling, just the sarcasm of them and how upset Lewis is.”
