Oscar Piastri was once again dominant in Miami during the race on Sunday. The Australian took an early lead in the Grand Prix and won for the third consecutive time. With this, he signals a challenge to his teammate, Lando Norris, and also made history with a unique achievement for his team.
Piastri clinched his sixth win in his Formula 1 career history. He did this at the Miami Grand Prix. He has now surpassed Norris, who has won five times so far. This was also the Australian's fourth win of the season, while his teammate has only won one race out of six so far.

Piastri enters McLaren's history books

Another significant milestone Piastri reached in Miami was being the first McLaren driver since 1998 to win three races in a row. Back then, it was Mika Hakkinen.
This was also McLaren's 51st 1-2 finish in Formula 1, bringing the British team closer to Mercedes, which currently stands at 60 1-2 finishes. For now, Ferrari remains out of reach, standing at 87 1-2 finishes.
