Lando Norris keeps his cool and clinches the first world title of his career — here’s the final drivers’ standings after the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Despite losing a place to his teammate on the opening lap, the Briton still held on to third — the final position he needed to stay in the title fight — and ultimately secured the championship by just two points over Max Verstappen.
Norris also came under investigation during the race for passing Yuki Tsunoda beyond track limits, but the stewards deemed the Japanese driver at fault for weaving on the straight.
A small consolation for Piastri, who finished second with an alternate strategy but ended up third in the final standings.
