Frustration for Hamilton as Spanish GP nightmare strikes again in Canada

Lewis Hamilton had manged to outqualify his teammate Charles Leclerc on Saturday. However halfway through the race the Monegasque emerged from the pits ahead of his British teammate, why? Ferrari revealed the reason in a radio message.
On lap 36 of 70, Hamilton found himself in P7 around 8 seconds behind his teammate Leclerc in P6. Not the race he was envisioning, as before the race the Briton's sights were set on loftier goals.

Hamilton has damage: 20 points of downforce

Hamilton took to the radio to ask what had gone wrong: "I'm nowhere in this race, mate. I don't know what's happened." His race engineer, Riccardo Adami replied, that his race was okay considering the damage.
David Croft in during the Sky Sports' broadcast of the Grand Prix said Ferrari had issued a communication saying Hamilton incurred in a damage worth 20 points of downforce on lap 13 of the Grand Pric. Colleague Martin Brundle then ventured it translated into a half a second loss in terms of lap time.
