Max Verstappen has received the special DMSB permit to drive in the NLS.

During the race, Verstappen got the good news: His DMSB special driver's permite is still to be dispensed by the racing authorities present, however, according to the rules, it is a mere formality, meaning he would be able, henceforth, to take part in races in the Nurburgring Endurance Series (NLS for its abbreviation in German.)

Having put in a mesmerising lap in qualifying for the 4-hour long race, Verstappen was able to run a good race until about three quarters into his stint when he was forced to make a long pit stop that set him back some.

Nevertheless, after that the Dutchman set out on a rather blistering pace and clocked in a 09.01.4, which stood as the best time for his class, by over 21 seconds.

His teammate Chris Lulham drove their Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS home, to a 27th finish overall, 7th in the Cup 3 Class.
