Isack Hadjar seemingly got into a verbal altercation after he placed sixth in the Monaco Grand Prix qualifying session. Right ahead of a Sky Sports interview with Jenson Button, Simon Lazenby, and Naomi Schiff, Hadjar was waiting in the wings when his attention turned to someone walking past him.
Hadjar was visibly upset before interview
It is unclear what was said to Hadjar, but he looked visibly upset afterwards. The fan was in the paddock area and walking towards the
Racing Bulls hospitality areas when he engaged in a conversation with Hadjar.
Hadjar's press officer tried to redirect his attention back to Sky Sports but was unable to, as he soon took off after the person. Sky Sports quickly redirected the camera back to Button, Schiff, and Lazenby while Hadjar’s press officer followed him up the ramp to the fan.
Lazenby said, “He’s just ironing out a couple of things before he comes to us.”
Roughly 22 seconds later, Hadjar appeared in front of Sky Sports, still looking unsettled.
Hadjar could not keep his eyes off of the RB Hospitality area. Lazenby and Schiff helped redirect his attention.
Lazenby said, “Lets just bring you back to the moment” while Schiff said “Let’s go back to the celebration.”
That seemed to work as he was able to focus back on his best-ever qualifying results.
