Lewis Hamilton has delved into the impeding incident that he had with Max Verstappen during qualifying at the Monaco Grand Prix.
The seven-time world champion will have to go to the stewards, as he is under investigation for not getting out of the way of the Dutchman on a flying lap.
Going up towards the Massenet corner, Hamilton was looking to get out of the way of the flying Verstappen, but some miscommunication over the team radio meant he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, sitting on the racing line while the Red Bull racing driver came through, meaning Verstappen's lap was aborted.
Hamilton will now be waiting to see if he will receive a penalty from the stewards after qualifying P4

"Well, basically, there was, I don't know if there was some sort of issue with the computer screen," Hamilton started by saying to several media sources, including GPblog.
"It basically said that Max was on a lap, and then it disappeared and said it wasn't, so that was the information they gave me," the 40-year-old continued, explaining what occurred during the incident.
"They told me he was on a lap, so I moved to the side, I was completely out of the way, and then, I guess for them, they realised he wasn't on the lap, and so they told me that, so I started to accelerate. I stayed fully to the left and I wasn't on the racing line, but, of course, it was distracting for Max.
Come the end of the session, Hamilton was just able to pip Verstappen, with the Brit starting P4, one place ahead of the Dutchman for Sunday's race, with Lando Norris on pole ahead of Charles Leclerc.
When asked if he thinks a penalty would be heading his way from the stewards, the Ferrari driver gave very little away: "I don't know. I really don't. We'll see what happens."
