Lewis Hamilton has received backing to rise above the pressure from the Italian press amid his difficult start to life at Scuderia Ferrari.

The British driver, who completed a blockbuster switch to the Maranello-based outfit ahead of the commencement of the 2025 campaign, has seen his chapter unfold in a manner far from what many had envisioned.

Hamilton talked about having a 'smoother' experience after he returned to Q3 for the first time since Spa on Saturday, but a day later, he crashed in Turn 3.

Former Scuderia Ferrari man Marcin Budkowski backs Hamilton to rise above the challenges, he shared his thoughts on the F1 Nation Podcast.

The Polish engineer began: “The pressure is huge from the Italian press and from Italian society in general. I don’t think Lewis cares about that. I’ve worked with Lewis a little bit at McLaren many years ago."

“He has evolved a lot. I worked with him in his first years in Formula 1. I don’t think he’s at the stage where what Corriere della Sera [Italian outlet] writes about him is keeping him awake at night."

“I think he wants this to be a success. He wants this to be the culmination of his career. It’s more difficult than everybody expected.”
