While the partnership may not have begun as imagined following Lewis Hamilton’s switch to Ferrari ahead of the 2025 season, Italian media now estimates that the Briton has brought in great value for the squad off the track.

According to a report courtesy of Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, the partnership between the 40-year-old and the Prancing Horse has translated into a profit margin in excess of €50 million, still with the second half of the 2025 F1 season remaining.

The outlet details that, in comparison to the 2024 season, the Ferrari team has raked in profit not only from the second place it achieved in the 2024 Constructors’ Championship, but largely due to the increased sponsorship revenues it has amassed since the signing of Hamilton.

The report adds that brand developments and merchandise sales of the seven-time world champion have also contributed significantly to the revenue the Ferrari outfit has been able to rake in so far this season. It concludes by detailing that the team anticipates even more revenue, especially in any instance Hamilton becomes more competitive on track or clinches his maiden win for the team.

Lewis Hamilton’s season with Ferrari so far

While the off-track collaboration with Lewis Hamilton has reportedly been profitable for Ferrari, the Briton did not have the best of seasons up until the summer break.

Through the first 14 races in which the former Mercedes driver has participated for the team, he has yet to record a podium finish. Hamilton’s best performance in the red of Ferrari remains his outing at the Austrian Grand Prix and the British Grand Prix — both races where he finished in fourth place, and a Sprint victory in China.

His last outing at the Hungarian Grand Prix saw him match his worst Grand Prix finish for the team so far, as he took the chequered flag in 12th place at the Hungaroring.
