Lewis Hamilton finished the Qatar Grand Prix in P12, having started in P17.

"Time will tell whether or not we act on those things and we keep hold of the things that are good and change the things that are not - and there's plenty of those."

But, overall it was an abyssmal weekend for Ferrari as Charles Leclerc also struggled massively to extract pace from the SF-25 at the Lusail International Circuit across the three days of the event.

For Hamilton it marks one of his worst F1 race weekends, but still, the seven-time world champion's spirit is not dampened by the lowly performance.

"I feel fine. I had a good first lap and made some places up and was really unfortunate under the safety car," he tols Sky Sports after yet another point-less race.

"I enjoyed it as much as I could. It definitely has been the most challenging year both in and out of the car," Hamilton acknowledged, addressing the remarkably tough nature of his first year at Ferrari, where neither the performance, nor the results, nor fortune have gone his way.

Hamilton has notes for Ferrari

"I've got so many notes in terms of things we need to improve on," he added

"Time will tell whether or not we act on those things and we keep hold of the things that are good and change the things that are not - and there's plenty of those.

"There's literally no reason why we couldn't fix those if we just put those into action,"  he continued, urging Ferrari to take action

"I'm hopeful for us making progress," Hamilton concluded.
