Ahead of the weekend in Imola, Lewis Hamilton was asked about his dog's health. According to the Briton, Roscoe is as youthful as ever, but he is now old for a bulldog. Still, Hamilton will aim to bring him to two Grands Prix this year. “He's 12-and-a-half years old so he's an old boy. He had pneumonia, but he's fine now. But definitely this is a time where every time I get a text message from the lady who's looking after him, my heart stops for a second. You know, what's next?” Hamilton said to GPblog among others ahead of the Emilia-Romagna GP.
Hamilton wants Roscoe to be there at these two weekends
For a two special Grands Prix, the home weekends of the Briton and his team,
Ferrari, Hamilton would like to bring Roscoe along as well.
"I really want to try and bring him to Silverstone, and particularly to Monza, this year. Get him a red cape."
"It’s unusual for a bulldog to be as old as he is. I was with him before Miami and he still wants to play. Still got that kind of youthful spirit. He does like to sleep a lot."
The seven-time world champion's other bulldog, Coco, unfortunately passed away in 2020 after a heart attack.
