After moving abroad, Jody Scheckter has encountered a unique situation. The former Formula 1 driver no longer has his driver's license and has asked his old team, Ferrari, for help.
Scheckter raced for Ferrari in 1979 and 1980. In 1979, he won their last championship for 21 years. Now, he has asked his old team for help getting his driving license back.

Scheckter needs Ferrari's help

Originally from South Africa, Scheckter has decided to move to and settle in Italy. There is just one problem: He does not speak Italian, so he has run into an issue when trying to get a driver’s licence.
As he used to be a driver for the Italian Scuderia, he has requested their help with this issue.
Speaking to Italian publication Corriere della Sera, he explained that he was able to drive for a short time with his UK driver’s license.
“I was able to drive with my license for a year, but now it has expired. The problem is that I speak very poor Italian, I can’t possibly pass the test."
Will the Maranello-based team be able to help their former world champion out?
