Lewis Hamilton shares photo of birthday cake as F1 champion turns 41

Lewis Hamilton celebrated his birthday on 7 January. The Ferrari driver also shared a photo of his cake on social media.

The seven-time world champion turned 41 years old a day ago. To mark the occasion, Hamilton also shared an Instagram story of his birthday cake. Instead of his age, the candles spelled out "HAPPY BDAY" on it.

The Briton is currently enjoying his winter break after a difficult debut year with Ferrari, largely posting images from the United States. For the first time in his career, Hamilton failed to score a Grand Prix podium last year.

Hamilton's birthday message

The British driver shared an emotional message on Instagram as well.

“Another return. I’m incredibly grateful for this break. Time to disconnect, recharge and find a bit of inner peace. Time with family and friends replenishing with rest and good laughs has been everything I needed after a very draining year,” the former F1 world champion wrote.
