After Charles Leclerc and Alexandra Saint Mleux announced their engagement, the Formula 1 world was quick to congratulate the couple.
"Yesssss"- Carlos Sainz on social media
A day ago, Leclerc shared on social media that he had popped the question to his girlfriend, Saint Mleux, ahead of the São Paulo Grand Prix.
The couple’s well-known dachshund, Leo, also played a key role in the Ferrari driver’s proposal.
The F1 world was glad to see the news of the engagement, and shared their best wishes to the couple under their Instagram post.
Leclerc's current teammate at Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton wrote: "Congratulations to you both❤️🙏🏾"
His former teammate, Carlos Sainz, also joined in along with his girlfriend, Rebecca Donaldson. The Spaniard posted "Yesssss 👏👏❤️", while the Scottish model commented with a set of "🥰" emojis.
McLaren driver Oscar Piastri also kept it brief, writing “Congrats!”
The official Formula 1 and Ferrari accounts also congratulated the couple on their engagement.

The couple were rumoured to be dating in early 2023 and made their first public appearance together at that year’s Wimbledon tennis tournament in July, alongside Pierre Gasly and his partner, Francisca Gomes.
Saint Mleux studied art history at L’École du Louvre and worked as an art assistant at the auction house Hôtel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo. She now has more than three million followers on Instagram as well.
