Kelly Piquet shines light on Max Verstappen with heartwarming message on his first Father's Day

In the photo Piquet posted, the family can fully be seen. Kelly is holding her first daughter Penelope, Verstappen's stepdaughter, as well as his own baby Lily. In the description of the message, Kelly wrote: “Happy Father's Day to the best [fathers] I could ask for.”

In the message, Kelly Piquet included touching tributes not only to Max Verstappen but also to her own father, Nelson Piquet. In one of the newly shared photos, Kelly is pictured with her daughter Penelope as they pose with Nelson, who famously won the Formula 1 World Championship three times. Another nostalgic photo shows a young Kelly as a child, standing beside her father, capturing a moment from years ago.

Verstappen spent Sunday racing in the 10th round of the 2025 F1 championship, the Canadian Grand Prix at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The Dutchman finished in second place behind Mercedes driver George Russell, who managed to control the race from the front of the pack. Some excitement was brought to the race after Lando Norris crashed with McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri in the closing stages. The incident brought out a safety car, where Russell and Verstappen had a slight 'skirmish' under the safety car, but both escaped without a penalty.
