The Spanish Grand Prix could be a turning point for Ferrari and the season, as they are bringing upgrades, and a technical directive is going into effect. Charles Leclerc thinks that all teams will be affected by this.
Ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix, Leclerc was asked if he expected something to happen to Ferrari with the rule change.

Leclerc hopes Ferrari will benefit from new rules

He said, “All cars will be affected by it, whether positively or not, again, that still remains to be seen.”
Leclerc hopes Ferrari will not suffer from it but will actually get better.
“We shouldn’t be too affected by it. But again, time will tell. We’ll see if some other teams will be more affected, and that will hopefully help us to close a little bit of the gap.”
He admits, “I don’t think it’s going to be a game changer.”

McLaren currently leads the constructors' championship by 172. Mercedes, Red Bull, and Ferrari are only separated by a few points each.
Leclerc continued, “I don’t think we’re going to see a massive change in the pecking order that we see today.”
“But it might make a little difference, and I hope it will benefit us.”
