The F1 movie has been nominated in three categories at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA).
The blockbuster, co-produced by Scuderia Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton, received nods for Best Editing, Best Sound, and Best Special Visual Effects at the 78th edition of the awards, scheduled for 22 February.
The film follows the story of former race driver Sonny Hayes, played by Brad Pitt, and his rookie teammate Joshua Pearce, portrayed by Damson Idris, as they help the Apex GP team overcome numerous challenges to achieve success over a thrilling and turbulent season. Since its release, the movie has become a hit across Hollywood.

Only recently, the same movie was nominated for as many as four awards at the Oscars ceremony. The nominations spanned Best Picture, Best Film Editing, Best Sound, and Best Visual Effects.
Earlier, F1 President Stefano Domenicali hinted at a possible sequel for the F1 movie. The Italian motorsport chief, in assessing the film’s success, opted against ruling out the possibility of a follow-up.
Speaking via Sky Sports, the 60-year-old said: "Well, I think that is ‘never say never.’ We're working on a plan. It will not happen immediately, because we need time to digest it. By the way, we're going to launch it on Apple on December 12, so the first movie will continue to have an impact."
He added: "The next one has to be credible, authentic, and new.”
