Max Verstappen is an integral part of Formula 1. He has won the world championship four times. In an interview with ESPN, he was asked what it's like to be in a ‘leadership role’ for the upcoming talents.

Prepared for the unexpected during a race weekend

The Red Bull Racing driver pointed out that experience plays a huge role in achieving the performances he has today: ‘’Experience helps a lot. You know what to expect or what can happen during a race weekend." Verstappen expressed a lot of respect for the young drivers in Formula 1 and had compliments for his rival, Oscar Piastri.
‘’Winning races and championships is why you are here, at least that is what you hope. It is going well so far. I am relaxed and have become more relaxed over the years. It works well for me to be ‘on’ for the race weekends and ‘off’ again when I go home and see my family."

A different dynamic within the Verstappen family

Verstappen became a father for the first time last week, having a baby girl, Lily, with Kelly Piquet. The Dutchman mentioned that he had been able to spend a few days with his family before flying off to Miami for the Grand Prix. Verstappen seems not to have to give up his major hobby, sim racing. He joked last week: ''Maybe we'll do that together in the future''
