Max Verstappen has made it known that he values family time. With him just having a child, the question arose about what he plans to do after his contract ends in 2028.
Talking to ESPN, Verstappen said ‘’I have a contract until 2028, so anyway until then, after that it depends on what kind of projects come along, whether it is interesting or not.’’
Verstappen's major goal has been achieved
Verstappen's greatest dream was to become world champion, which he achieved in 2021.
’After my first championship in 2021, I already said that everything I achieve more is a bonus and that is how I see it. I will continue to do it, as long as I continue to enjoy it and how I relate to the sport.’’

Everything is discussed with his family
"The sport has changed a lot over the years. I will continue to do it as long as I enjoy it, but also that I am okay with leaving the family behind.’’
Since Verstappen has already won the championship, he realises that Formula 1 is no longer the most important thing in his life: ''You do everything you can to get the most out of it. We are now third in the championship, and not the fastest team. We try to be as competitive as possible, but in the end, it does not change my life.''
