McLaren managed to conclude the Grand Prix of Hungary with a 1-2 finish. It was the fourth consecutive 1-2 for Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. On every circuit it visits, it is dominant. Despite this, the team still keeps a close eye on the competition, including Verstappen.

Team boss Andrea Stella was a happy man after the victory in Hungary, but he was still hesitant to write off Verstappen. He told the present media, including GPblog: "I think Ferrari is going to be a contender for victories for the remainder of the season."

"If anything, I was a little surprised by the evolution of the final part of the race. I'm not sure if there was any kind of problem on Leclerc's car."

"But definitely anytime we go racing for the second part of the season we will have to take into account that in qualifying and in the race we will have to deal with Ferrari"

Andrea Stella still takes Verstappen into account

"We will have to deal with Mercedes and today Max was a bit out of contention but Max I'm sure he will find a way to fight."

"So there's nothing obvious in this business, this is exactly what we said yesterday in our briefing after qualifying and this is what we will keep repeating ourselves in the second part of the season."

How does Verstappen see the rest of the season himself?

Max Verstappen has secured two victories this season. He won in Suzuka and also triumphed in the race in Imola. After the race, he looked ahead to the rest of the season and answered the pressing question of whether he is going to win more races this season.
