Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri appear to be the two remaining challengers for the 2025 world title. The gap to third place Max Verstappen is 97 points. Ralf Schumacher predicted how the battle at McLaren will look for the rest of the season.

Schumacher was interviewed by Bild about the first half of the season. He predicted an exciting battle at McLaren and thinks that a number of factors could influence the decision in the title fight: "In the past, I would have said that Lando is the more complete driver. But Oscar has overcome his weaknesses from last year."

"He was too harsh on the tyres last year and couldn't maintain the race pace. Now he is mentally strong and fast. I see them both on the same level. A single failure or mistake could decide the championship."

The German concluded: "With Oscar, I see the risk that he will push too hard when he has the title in his grasp. That can also go wrong."

Battle for second place among constructors incredibly exciting

McLaren was very dominant in the first half of the season and is found in top place in both championships. The team is at a comfortable lead of 299 points in the constructors' championship. However, the battle for the second place is more exciting. Ferrari has 260, Mercedes has 236, while Red Bull has 194 points so far this season.

Charles Leclerc also commented on this battle and discussed why it might be better to come third rather than second.
