Lando Norris believes that Red Bull are "a little bit quicker" than McLaren at the moment after Max Verstappen's win at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix. The Brit was able to make the move past his teammate Oscar Piastri in the final ten laps of the race after pitting under the safety car, but he was no match for an imperious Verstappen at the front of the grid.
That P2 ahead of his teammate means he closes the gap in the drivers' standings, but he is still searching for his second win of the season after the opening season win at the Australian Grand Prix.

Norris and McLaren "did what they could"
Speaking to David Coulthard after the race in the post-Grand Prix interview, Norris said: "It was a long race from that perspective, not easy to take over, but we did what we could. Max drove a good race, they were quick today - probably a little quicker. A good race, for us as a team, second and third is great, as they were too good for us today.
"With George, he was struggling with the tires a lot, so it is a situation you have to take advantage of, we are racing - but he is a good racer, a fair racer," continued the Brit.
The P2 and P3 for Norris and Piastri meant the papaya-coloured team were able to extend their lead in the constructors' championship.
