Lando Norris is returning to the race where he got his first-ever win: the Miami Grand Prix. Can the driver rise to another win and possibly 'resurrect' his championship lead? Jolyon Palmer said on the F1 Nation podcast that he believes Norris can do it. Norris lost his championship lead to Oscar Piastri at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Due to an unfortunate crash during the qualifying session, Norris started down in 10th place. He could not reach the podium and thus lost his championship lead.
Palmer predicts Norris win
Palmer thinks that Norris will be able to come back from losing his lead. He said, "I thought actually this is going to be the start of the redemption arc for Lando. He won last year. I actually think you're right with your synopsis of the race. But if you look at the race, Lando was extremely quick through the race as well."
Norris congratulates Piastri
Last year, Norris was able to capitalise on a safety car and take home his first-ever Formula 1 win. Which is something Palmer mentions.
He continued, "I think the pace was there. I do think getting that final corner nailed, he's going to have sort of flashbacks to the China hairpin when it comes down to Q3 and getting the brake point and the low speed. But I think he can do it. So I'm going to go to Lando ahead of Oscar."
