Piastri reveals state of his relationship with Norris amid championship fight

Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are neck and neck as the McLaren duo chases their maiden Formula 1 titles. Amid their ongoing title fight, Piastri has revealed the state of the relationship between the teammates following the Dutch Grand Prix.

Piastri, who saw his championship lead over Norris extend to 34 points following his masterful drive at the Zandvoort event, stressed that despite their title fight, they still share a healthy relationship. Speaking to the media, including GPblog, following his win at the Dutch GP, Piastri said:

“The relationship between Lando and I has not changed. I think, if anything, we know each other better now and actually probably get on better than we did before we knew each other.”

Piastri sends heartfelt message to Norris

Oscar Piastri also sent a heartfelt message to Lando Norris following the conclusion of the Dutch Grand Prix. The Australian driver extended sympathy to his teammate, who had suffered a DNF during the race.

Norris, who was pushing for a late fight with Piastri, saw his race go up in smoke quite literally when he suffered an engine failure with barely seven laps remaining.
