Two years ago, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix had to be cancelled due to flooding at the Italian track. While fortunately that is not expected to happen in 2025, there is indeed a small chance of rain next weekend.
The F1 season is set to arrive in Europe in the current season, kicking this leg off the year in Imola, at the 2025 Emilia-Romagna GP.
After a Sprint weekend in Miami, a 'regular' one will follow, with three practice sessions, qualifying and the Grand Prix in total.
In terms of Formula 1, FP1 and FP2 will take place on Friday. The first session is set to begin at 13:30 local time, while Max Verstappen and co's day continues at 17:00 local time. According to Weather.com, morning clouds will be followed by a sunny afternoon. It is expected to be 19 degrees Celsius a 24% chance of rain.
The weekend continues with FP3 and Qualifying on Saturday. It will be once again partly cloudy in Italy. It will be 21 degrees Celsius, with only a 4% chance of rain. FP3 will begin at 12:30 local time, while Qualifying starts at 16:00 local time.
A partly cloudy Sunday is then expected. The Grand Prix will get underway at 15:00 local time. It is expected to be the hottest day with 24 degrees Celsius, but once again, there is a 24% of rain.
It seems like Formula 1 can be held when the weather will be more moderate, as thunderstorms as expected in the week that follows.
