While Max Verstappen is mainly spending his summer vacation with Kelly Piquet and his family, some Red Bull drivers just can’t leave racing behind. Drivers from the Austrian team’s sister outfit, Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson, took the action to a rather unusual setting.
Even with the summer break still a week away from ending, the Racing Bulls drivers didn’t let that slow them down. In a video shared on the team’s Instagram, Lawson and Hadjar can be seen tearing through a course set up inside the team’s Faenza office.
Hadjar took the lead, setting the pace, while Lawson navigated an office chair under the Frenchman’s guidance. The New Zealander showed intense focus, while the rookie spent most of the ride laughing.
The team wrote in the video: "The boys will take any form of racing the can during summer break!"

Racing Bulls currently sit eighth in the Constructors’ Championship with 45 points. The team is locked in a battle for sixth place with Aston Martin and Kick Sauber.
Hadjar is proving himself this season as one of the standout rookies on the grid. The 20-year-old has scored 22 points for his team so far and sits 13th in the Drivers’ Championship.
Lawson has also shown signs of life since leaving Red Bull Racing. Especially in the races just before the summer break, he regularly managed to score points. He currently sits 15th in the standings with 20 points to his name.
Hadjar’s strong performances are certainly turning heads. Rumors are swirling that he could potentially join Verstappen in 2026. When asked in Hungary if he would be ready for that step, the Frenchman told GPblog and others: “If I perform at the top level and don’t make mistakes, yes, then I am.”
In just a week, Formula 1 returns to real action at Circuit Zandvoort, giving Hadjar his next chance to shine. The Grand Prix takes place on Sunday, August 31.
