For the first time ever, Adrian Newey has spoken about his new team, Aston Martin. In UNDERCUT | Adrian Newey: The first interview, he mentions his old team, Red Bull Racing.
About his new team, he stated, "Lawrence's vision has created a great facility – the best facility in F1 – but it is important that we now optimise how we use it."
Newey sees a clear difference between Aston Martin and Red Bull
However, while discussing Aston Martin's facilities and their up-to-date state, he mentioned his previous team, Red Bull Racing.
Newey is not the first person to mention this particular problem; it is one that Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing's team principal, often discusses.
Newey celebrated many successes with Verstappen at Red Bull
Newey said, "My previous team had one of the worst wind tunnels in F1 and operates out of an unremarkable series of buildings on an industrial estate."
However, he did not provide more details about the wind tunnel or express negative views toward the old team. In fact, he noted that the wind tunnel "managed to get everybody working together and developed a great group of people."
