Red Bull Racing has been unable to put on a good showing at the Hungarian Grand Prix so far. As team principal Laurent Mekies addresses the remainder of the weekend, and sheds light on the Austrian team's woes.

Speaking to Sky Sports after FP3, Mekies acknolwedged the tough outing for Red Bull: "We have been struggling since yesterday. It's been very difficult to put the car in the right window to give Max and Yuki the right feeling."

Red Bull unable to turn it around

"We have tried a number of things to turn the car around but I have to say, it's the same sort of feeling today and [we are] not finding the grip overall," said Mekies, whose assessment falls in line with that of his drivers Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda.

Red Bull doesn't give up, and aims to 'learn'

The Frenchman then chose to switch perspectives to extract the good from the tough weekend the Red Bull Racing outfit are facing.

"Uncomfortable but the sort of situation where you learn some things, so we are trying to do quite a few tests to understand where the limitations are."

Nevertheless, the team is currently at a loss as to how to turn the tables on what looks to be yet another painful weekend.

"We have gone in different directions [with the drivers]. From the first run yesterday, it felt like something was not quite right.

"We have been experimenting but so far we have not cracked it," Mekies concluded.
