Red Bull Racing is facing issues at every corner. GPBlog revealed on Friday afternoon that team principal Christian Horner's position was in danger. The team is also not dominating the track. While Max Verstappen's penalty, dropping him to 10th place, didn't help, Yuki Tsunoda is also greatly struggling.
Tsunoda was promoted to Red Bull Racing after Liam Lawson was demoted having raced only two Grand Prix. He had been with the Austrian outfit's sister team, Racing Bulls, for four years. Despite being promoted, Tsunoda has not done much better than the New Zealander. While teammates with Verstappen, Tsunoda has only scored seven points compared to Verstappen's 101.

Scathing statistics for Tsunoda

The statistics get worse for Tsunoda when you dig deeper. Since the Japanese Grand Prix, Verstappen has driven more laps in the lead than Tsunoda has in the points.

This means that Tsunoda has only driven 105 laps in the top 10, while Verstappen has driven 179 laps in P1. On the other hand, Tsunoda's former team, Racing Bulls, has been able to fight for points more weekends than the Japanese has. Rookie Isack Hadjar has scored double the points in the last two races than Tsunoda has scored with Red Bull overall.
The French Algerian has also scored more points (14) in the last two races than Verstappen (13) and Tsunoda (0) have combined.
The Dutchman has spoken up for Tsunoda, saying that he was no pancake and pointing to the actual issue, the RB21. Red Bull Racing has had a problem with their second driver/seat for a while now, with Veestappen having multiple teammates tthat could not keep up with him.
