Nico Rosberg has made headlines in the past week due to his interaction with Jos Verstappen prior to the Belgian Grand Prix. The German has since reacted to this ‘viral’ conversation.
Nico Rosberg was present at Spa-Francorchamps as an analyst for Sky Sports. Just before the start of the Belgian Grand Prix, the German encountered Jos Verstappen on the grid. He asked him a few brief questions about the departure of Christian Horner from the Austrian racing stable.
In the The F1 Show-podcast, Rosberg reacted to this ‘viral’ moment. "First of all, it’s nice to see that people appreciated our entertainment which is what it’s all about, isn’t it? The whole sport, that’s what it’s built on.”
“Not that I do that on purpose, I just try to ask the questions that may be of interest,” said the former F1 world champion.
Rosberg indeed suggested that Jos Verstappen wanted the British team boss gone. When Verstappen sr. stated that the situation has since changed and he had nothing else to say about it, Rosberg confronted him with the fact that the Dutchman was now suddenly silent.
