Stefano Domenicali, F1 CEO, has congratulated former F1 driver turned analyst, Martin Brundle after receiving his OBE honours from the British Empire.
Martin Brundle had an underestimated stint in motorsport. From fighting Ayrton Senna for the title in British Formula 3 in 1983, he also made the step up to F1 the very next year. He would go on to race throughout more than a decade until 1996. He's also a Le Mans winner, a triumph he achieved with Jaguar shortly after taking the World Sportscar Championship - now WEC - in 1988.
After hanging up his F1 racing boots, Brundle started a career as commentator the very next year, in 1997, collaborating with the late great Murray Walker with whom he would go on to form one of the most memorable F1 commentary partnerships of all time.
28 years of broadcasting and over two decades as well dedicated to racing as a driver, add up to a lifetime's worth of dedication of his services to motorsport, something worth of praise, celebration and recognition indeed.
