In the middle of an excellent debut season thus far, Isack Hadjar seems to have no worries about his future in Formula 1. A spot on his current team Racing Bulls seems minimally assured for 2026, but could it even be Red Bull Racing as teammate of Max Verstappen?

The summer is typically the time of transfers and contract extensions in Formula 1. With (probably) the quick announcement that Max Verstappen is staying at Red Bull, George Russell signing a new contract with Mercedes, and it's likely that Andrea Kimi Antonelli will do the same, the bite seems largely taken out of silly season.

Hadjar opens up about his future

Yet at Red Bull there is a spot free alongside Max Verstappen and after his good season, Hadjar is seen as the prime candidate for the Austrians. GPblog asked the Frenchman in Hungary about his future, but he couldn't or wouldn't say much. "You know how fast it goes around here (in F1, ed.), It's too early," he responded.

Hadjar subsequently indicated he was in no rush. "I don't really care (when clarity comes, ed.), because I feel very safe and I'm happy driving F1 cars."

Stress with Hadjar

A year ago, it was different. Then Hadjar was one of the last drivers confirmed for the F1 grid. "It's been very uncertain, very stressful. I was fighting for F2 at the time, so I was trying to give my best. And to be fair, I didn't know until I got called."

"So it's been a tough ride, but they (Racing Bulls, ed.), made the right decision, so I'm happy," Hadjar laughed.
