Carlos Sainz and Franco Colapinto have both been investigated by the stewards for an alleged violation during a red flag situation in Monaco. An extensive review of these incidents has been carried out, and the stewards have decided that no further action is needed for the two drivers.
For Carlos Sainz, a moment occurred during the second free practice in Monaco when Isack Hadjar caused a red flag during this session.
During this red flag, Sainz overtook Franco Colapinto, something that is not allowed under red flag conditions. Oliver Bearman had already received a ten-place grid penalty for a similar action earlier in the weekend.

No penalty from the stewards for Sainz and Colapinto

The Monaco stewards looked extensively at the footage of the incident involving the Spanish driver and decided that no further action was necessary.
Sainz was not penalised because the stewards concluded that the Spaniard was already very close to Colapinto before the red-flag situation, and there was a great speed difference. As a result, he did not receive a penalty.

The decision of the Monaco stewards

Franco Colapinto went through the same process as Sainz after the Argentine overtook Lance Stroll during the red flag in FP3 after Lewis Hamilton crashed out of the session.
The Monaco stewards saw on footage that blue flags were still being shown on the panels and by the marshals along the track. Colapinto then responded appropriately to the subsequent red flags by braking, therefore not receiving a penalty.
