New Mercedes shareholder revealed as Wolff nears stake sale

Toto Wolff is reportedly in advanced talks to sell part of his stake in Mercedes, a move that would value the F1 team at an unprecedented $6 billion.

According to the Financial Times, the likely investor is already closely linked to Mercedes: George Kurtz, co-founder and CEO of CrowdStrike, one of the Brackley team’s key commercial partners.

Beyond his role at the cybersecurity firm, Kurtz is also a passionate racer. Over the years, he has competed—and won—in multiple categories, including GT World Challenge and IMSA, and has even taken part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Indianapolis 8 Hour.
