Max Verstappen will start the Hungarian Grand Prix from the eighth spot. Just before the start of the final race before the summer break, the Red Bull Racing driver has shared his final thoughts.
What’s possible for the Hungarian Grand Prix from P8, Max Verstappen couldn’t really give an answer to. “It's a bit difficult to know at the moment. It's been very difficult for us this whole weekend. But yeah, we're going to give it a good go.”
“Hopefully we can race with a few cars ahead of us and we don't need to look too much in the mirrors but yeah time will tell. I mean weather is, the sun is coming out a little bit as well so we'll be a bit warmer but I'm gonna try my best.”
Verstappen has a lot of cars in front of him from the eighth spot, but who does the Red Bull Racing driver expect to compete with? “I think that will be tough. Battling further ahead of that, but of course we need to try and fight with them,” says Verstappen.
The Hungarian Grand Prix seems to be going to take place under dry conditions. The chance of rain on Sunday is 40%, but most of the showers have already fallen at night and in the morning. This seems like good news for Verstappen. He certainly did not hope for a rain race in Budapest.
