Oscar Piastri finished FP2 0.038s behind Charles Leclerc in FP2, nevertheless the Australian is not yet as confident as can be, after 'messy' Friday afternoon.
After FP2 Piastri spoke to F1TV about his weekend so far. "I think the whole day has been a bit up and down. When we get everything together, the pace is quite good, it's just not proving that easy to do at the moment."
Difficult would be a good word to describe his FP2, after all he left his MCL39's front wing as a souvenir lying around the track on the outside of ST. Devote.
"So, some things to look at, especially for myself, it's been a very messy day. I'll try and reset a bit tomorrow because I think it was the pace in the car," added the Aussie optimistically.

That McLaren has the pace to challenge for the top prizes, it is no secret. But neither is the fact that when driven in anger the car may be subject to a somewhat unpredictable handling. Whereas Ferrari have looked on the pace since the start with Charles Leclerc topping the timesheets across both sessions.
"More or less. I mean, I think clearly Ferrari are looking a lot stronger here than they have done. But I think for today it's more to beat on my side that's been quite have done."
"I think for today it's more on my side that's been quite messy. Plenty of things to learn and I think tomorrow will be an interesting day."
