Richard Verschoor does not understand Lando Norris's choice to continuously try to pass Max Verstappen from the outside. In the NOS Formula 1 podcast, he compares Norris's overtaking moves to those of his teammate, Oscar Piastri. The Dutch Formula 2 driver thinks Norris might now look at how the Australian approached it with the Dutchman.
“What I find interesting to see is that Norris keeps trying to pass Max from the outside. I honestly don't quite understand that. With Piastri, when he was battling with Verstappen, you saw that he did not go around the outside because you know you just shouldn't do that with Max. Norris keeps trying, and he keeps going off track or getting into trouble. He just keeps trying the same thing, and I find that interesting. Maybe now he will look at it himself, now that he saw how Piastri got past,” Verschoor said in the podcast.
After Piastri had overtaken Verstappen, Norris managed to gain on the Dutchman quickly. The Briton tried several times, but whereas Piastri kept it quite neat in his overtaking manoeuvres, Norris slid off the track a few times, making it visibly more challenging for him to get past Verstappen, in a car that was indeed significantly faster than the RB21.

Verschoor just like Piastri leads the championship in his class

With Piastri's win in Miami, he remains on top in the Formula 1 World Championship. In Formula 2, Verschoor is currently in 1st place in the championship. After three race weekends, the Dutchman has a twelve-point lead over the second place, Josep Maria Martí.
