Max Verstappen will line up alongside George Russell on the first row of the grid for the Canada Grand Prix. At the Drivers' Parade, the defending world champion talked about what he expects from the race.
The Dutchman is in good spirits ahead of his next challenge. "[I'm] very well just looking forward to today. Hopefully, we can have a strong race and hopefully we are competitive," he began.
About his approach, he continued: "We’ll just try to have the best possible race. Hopefully we can look after our tyres as well and see who's fighting us, around us. I think we'll be all quite close between quite a few cars."
Looking back on his lap yesterday after he finished 0.160 seconds behind Russell, he also added: "You try to focus on yourself, try to do the best possible lap and I felt good with my lap, so there were no regrets."

Can Verstappen continue his streak?

Since the Formula 1 Grid returned to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve after the Covid-19 pandemic, only Verstappen could step on the top of the podium at this track, winning three times in a row.
"You have to be patient as well, it's a super long race, a lot can happen and also today it looks like a dry race. But even with the tyres, how you manage them, it's key today," he concluded.
