In the aftermath of the 2025 season, swirling reports had emerged about the possibility of the Italian engineer ending his stint with the Red Bull team.

However, GPblog confirmed Lambiase is certain to stay in his role with the Austrian outfit for the upcoming campaign.

Verstappen paid tribute to Lambiase

Earlier, Verstappen also paid tribute to his race engineer despite missing out on the 2025 drivers’ championship. The four-time world champion, who narrowly missed a fifth consecutive title after finishing two points behind Lando Norris, praised the efforts and commitment of Lambiase despite the rollercoaster season experienced by the Red Bull team.

Verstappen also pointed out the off-track challenges Lambiase faced throughout the campaign. At the final race of the 2025 season, GP, as he is fondly called, was visibly emotional on the pit wall, with former Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko and team principal, Laurent Mekies, comforting him following the conclusion of the race at the Yas Marina Circuit.
