Max Verstappen was full of high spirits during the Red Bull livery launch in Detroit, cracking jokes on stage with Isack Hadjar and team principal Laurent Mekies.

The 'Motor City' played host to an impressive event as Red Bull and Ford's new partnership was celebrated, with the American giant revealing its new Red Bull Ford Powertrains that will power Red Bull and Racing Bulls in 2026, along with an outlook of their own motorsport calendar this year.

The highlight of the event saw both teams unveil their 2026 challengers, with fans now finally able to lay eyes on F1 cars that have had a major overhaul in the regulations.

Verstappen full of jokes in Detroit

The Red Bull livery reveal saw huge amounts of praise from fans, and Verstappen also couldn't hide his excitement after the cover was lifted off the RB22.

His excitement was shown on stage, and he brought some jokes to the fore that had people on stage and in the crowd laughing.

While on stage with teammate Hadjar and team boss Mekies, the 28-year-old was asked to spin around and show off the new teamwear that everyone was sporting.

Verstappen then quickly quipped back: "Do you want to see my a**?" which got many people at the event laughing.

Mekies excited for 'new era' at Red Bull

The launch in Detroit also marked the first for Mekies as team principal after replacing Christian Horner midway through last season.

"Seeing the new livery for the first time is one of those special moments; it starts to make you feel excited about the new season. We are going to look spectacular on track!" the Frenchman stated.

"This is a new and significant era for the sport as a whole and for us as a team. We wanted our livery to reflect this, while also giving a nod to Red Bull Racing’s beginnings."
